November 30, 2021 – Titan Comics and Hard Case Crime are thrilled to announce that this November will see the return of the critically acclaimed hardboiled detective series; Minky Woodcock. This brand-new story is written and illustrated by award-winning artist, author, director, and playwright Cynthia von Buhler with stunning cover art by the legendary Robert McGinnis, poster artist for classic films such as James Bond and Breakfast at Tiffany’sMinky Woodcock: The Girl Who Electrified Tesla is set to land on shelves November 30th, 2021.

 

Set during World War II, nearly two decades after the events of the first volume, - Minky Woodcock: The Girl Who Handcuffed Houdini – this talented female detective uncovers another sinister and twisted mystery when she gets involved with world-renowned inventor Nikola Tesla, Nazi agents, and the race to command the world’s first weapon of mass destruction. Based around lesser-known facts dug up by von Buhler, fictional Minky Woodcock partners (physically and professionally) with bisexual Josephine Baker, who was a WWII spy for the French in the 1940’s, as they outwit Nazi Otto Skorzency, the greedy JP Morgan family, and government officials, such as John Trump, Donald Trump’s scientist uncle, in the race to find Tesla’s mysterious weapon of mass destruction.

Cynthia von Buhler, aka Countess von Buhler, is an American artist, performer, playwright, and author. Hailed by the press as “multitalented and eccentric” (Boston Globe), a “rising star” (NY Arts), and “one of the top contemporary surrealists” (Art & Antiques), Cynthia von Buhler has made a name for herself as an award-winning and critically acclaimed fine artist, author, and illustrator.
